Description:
You're sitting stuck in traffic on marine drive friday night and see a group of bikes whizz by you. What was that?! The tour de ubc?? Nope. it was just some cool voc members headed out to catch the sunset!
The plan is to meet outside Thunderbird Arena at 4:45 and bike down to Iona Terminus. With the rush hour traffic it might take us 1.5hrs. There, we can watch the sunset (6:30) and have a picnic with some good vibes.(You can just meet us at Iona if you have to commute from elsewhere). Afterwards, we can do some stargazing and then bike back to ubc/home in the dark.
The forecast looks alright, but things are subject to change. It is 25km one way from campus, but we definately won't be going at lance armstrong pace so everyone is welcome!
Required: Bike, Bike lights/reflective stuff,warm clothes because it will be a cold ride home
