Description:
We will be going out to a patch of crown land near Squamish to forage mushrooms and identify other cool plants. Some fungi that are currently in season: Chicken of the Woods (sulfur shelf), Chanterelles, Lobster Mushrooms, Reishi, and many more. There is no guarantee we will find anything, but we will have a day in the woods! Come prepared for some light bushwacking, rain, and off-trail travel. Bring lunch, snacks, and layers to stay warm and dry, in addition to a small paper or cloth bag or alternatively a wicker basket/something with holes to allow spores to spread as we walk.
