Description:

Zoa is accessed from a parking lot by the Coquihalla/Highway 5. It's exit 229/Falls Lake. You could take your Lambo up there no prob. The skin up is super-mellow, the next easist approach after Red Heather. From the top of Zoa, descending to the east is green/blue run type slopes with widely spaced trees. Depending on the group and the conditions, we could do laps on Zoa or traverse along the ridge and exit via Falls Lake. Everyone will need skis, skins, boots, poles, helmet and avalanche kit (shovel, probe, beacon). AST1 is always good, but this is mellow enough terrain that a mostly untrained group is totally managable.

If you've never backcountry skied before, but can ski downhill, you're fine.If you haven't skied at all, but are in good shape and can get up and fall over again in rapid succession without much hand-wringing in between, this also works.
