Description:

Want to learn tele? Missed Tele School? Or instructed people at tele school who've never skied and are looking for more advanced tips for yourself? This trip could be for you!

I can't make it to Tele School to instruct, but would like to help keep telemark alive and I can do the odd weeknight. In particular Tuesday the 23rd. I have no instructor credentials, but am a pretty decent tele skier. I can probably give you some useful tips whether you are just learning to ski, want to tighten up your stance, quit "riding the Harley" (double-pole-planting), nail your jump-turns, or try skiing with a lurk.

I propose we go up to Grouse. It has the least terrain of any of the North Shore mountains, but I live close to the base and I have a (weekday) pass. So paying my expenses comes to a grand total of $5. If you can get over the Lions Gate we can even meet at the bottom of Capilano Road and I can drive up a carload so you don't need to pay for parking.

Ideally there is at least one driver other than me, because I don't have time on a weeknight to drive to Vancouver and pick people up... but it is possible to get to Grouse by public transit.

This would be an evening thing. We can work out exactly what time depending on who's coming, trying to strike a balance between skiing time and when people can actually make it.
