Description:
Mt. Rohr is a peak in the Duffey that features mellow north slopes. The 15 km round-trip with 1130 m of elevation gain can be done in one longish day or two really easy days. I would rather do it as a day trip but I am open to a night approach into Marriot Basin if necessary. It is a challenging route on the ATES scale. If you have backcountry skied a few times before, but are looking for some longer or harder objectives, this is the trip for you! More inexperienced semi-beginners will be prioritized.
AST 1 is highly recommended but not required. If you have any questions feel free to reach out!
