Description:

Hi everyone!

This Saturday is my birthday, and I thought, what better way to spend it than climbing with my VOC best friends?

The plan is to go to Lighthouse Park (Beacon Lane, West Vancouver, BC V7W 1K5 Canada) in the morning, climb for a while, have some cake, climb some more, and head home around 2 or 3. Lighthouse Park is accessible by public transit, so we don't really need drivers. The weather is looking pretty good; as far as I can tell, it'll be cloudy and maybe a little chilly, but no rain.

I went to Lighthouse Park last weekend and I think anyone who is belay certified and willing to do some scrambling could come, but bonus points if you can set up an anchor. Depending on how many anchors and ropes we can get our hands on, more people will be able to come.

If the forecast changes and it looks like there will be rain, I will likely cancel.

Here is a list of things you will need for the trip: https://www.ubc-voc.com/wiki/Gear_Lists#Rock_Climbing_Gear - most gear (aside from clothing) can be rented from the clubroom.
