Description:

The lake seemed almost frozen when Jeff fell in, and we've had a few cold weeks since then, it seems high time someone check the status of the lake again. With the extremely warm weather this weekend, time is running out before the lake thaws again (if it even froze at all).

The idea would be to hike/snowshoe/ski up to Garibaldi lake and sus out the situation. The hope is to make it across the lake for a night at Burton hut, but the reality might be some side hike towards panorama ridge or black tusk, and tenting on the near side of the lake. This is a very last minute idea that will only happen if a few people and a car decide it's worth the risk, so sign up if you're interested and I'll send out an update on Thursday before the pre-trip.
