Description:
Golden Ears is a popular hike with a class 3 scramble at the top. The hike itself is 22.5km long with ~1,700m elevation gain. The first section to Alder Flats (~6km in to the hike) is relatively tame with the second half of the hike being steeper and more technical up to our campsite. The plan would be to drive up Tuesday, and hike up to the Panorama Ridge tentpads (not the Garibaldi Panorama Ridge). Then on Wednesday we'd make it to the summit and go down.
There is a $5 backcountry overnight fee.
Pre-requisites: backpacking experience and some scrambling or rock climbing experience
