Hey y'all,
I managed to book the big campsite at Green Point in Pacific Rim National Park this year! 🤠
The plan is to take the 6:30 am Ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo on Friday (booked my vehicle) August 16. After lading, we would make a quick stop at Cameron Lake and then head to Tofino to check in and set up camp.
From the 16 to the 18, the plan is to get as much surfing as possible and potentially do a couple of hikes (TBD) in the area. I am far from being an expert surfer, but happy to show people the basics 🌊
On the evening of the 17th of June, we will have a beach Potluck BBQ to celebrate Wookiee´s 🐶 sixth birthday 🥳 I will be bringing some vegan sausages, a BBQ, charcoal and buns (BYOB). We would be heading back at some point on the 18th, making a stop at the Sproat Lake Petroglyphs or another place (TBD).
Important. Being a strong swimmer is a requirement for this trip (as is understanding you cannot drink/do drugs and swim). This is a dog-friendly trip so if you are allergic to or do not like dogs, maybe this trip is not for you (sorry!). People coming on this trip will not necessarily be assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis, preference will be given to drivers, people surfing, participating in the potluck, helping instruct, willing to share tents, surfboards, etc.
