Description:
I have run 4 times from UBC to Grouse and run back, https://www.strava.com/activities/9772445138, and inspired someone else to do it as well. I am thinking maybe we could do it as a voc trip. the plan to run from campus around 8 am in monring and run all the way to Grouse and we could do 1-2 Grouse Grind-BCMC loop and bus home or run back. You can join anywhere in the route in my strava. caryying water and energy bar. we could take some rest at the bottom or top of the grouse mountain.
some statics:
from UBC to Grouse: 25km, 300m elevation gain. expected to finish 2hr:30min to 3hr
Grouse Grind 2.5km, 800 m elevation gain. expected to finish 1hr-1hr20min
BCMC: expected to finish 1 hour.
If we do not expect to run back home, totalt time about 6-7hrs, if runing back, probably 10-11 hours.
