Description:
The roof of Burton Hut (Sphinx) needs to be replaced. It's good that the VOC is already geared up in roof-building mode after doing the same at Brian Waddington Hut last summer, but hopefully this is the last roof project for a while - so don't miss out!
Anyone is welcome to join on this project. The work will be primarily construction but prior construction experience is not a prerequisite - there will be experienced people around to guide things along, and you'll learn quickly. We may also need folks to carry things up to the lake, shuttle people and canoes across the lake, cook food, or do other assorted tasks.
So, sign up as interested and indicate the days you can join in the spreadsheet. If you can't come up for the whole time, that's okay - we'll work out when various groups are going up closer to the date.
Things that will come in handy:
- tent + camping stuff
- mosquito repellent or clothing
- steel toed boots if you have them
- helmet (can grab one from the club if you need)
- clothing you don't care about too too much
- a flexible mindset
