Description:

Didn't manage to get a Rock 1 ticket? Come to the Aviary from 1-3 pm on Wednesday, September 25th to learn Rock 1 skills for free! Anybody interested in learning to climb is welcome to attend but we will only be covering skills related to Rock 1. This includes an overview of basic climbing equipement, basic climbing knots and top-rope belaying. Participants will need to sign the Aviary's waiver to participate, which can be found on their website. For those unfamiliar with the Aviary, it is an on campus climbing gym with some great routes located on the second floor of the nest. NOTE: The max capacity for this trip is 12 people, as this is the largest number of people that can safely fit in the Aviary in a teaching enviroment. If there are more than 12 people interested then priority will be given to those signed up as interested first.

Gear needed:

-Yourself, the Aviary has harnesses, shoes and belay devices that can be used
