VOC trips are organized by members like yourself, not professional guides. The trips go into wilderness areas where assistance is unavailable and unexpected events can occur. You could be seriously injured or die. You are responsible for your own actions. Please use caution.

Description:
In a wilderness first aid scenario, you'll encounter situations where immediate medical assistance isn't available, requiring quick thinking and resourcefulness. Refresh your knowledge on key principles such as patient assessment, treating injuries like fractures, sprains, and wounds, and recognizing signs of hypothermia, dehydration, or heat exhaustion.
I took my WAFA last year but (thankfully) never had to use those skills in the wild. This has got me somewhat rusty and it's time for a brush up. Regularly practicing these skills helps keep them sharp in real-life situations and can save lives.
I am in no way professional. Anything you learn or take away from this session will be at your own risk. However, I will be following a guide I made based on the professional courses I've taken.
I will be limiting this session to members who have had some formal training. There should be another session earlier on first-aid basics and what to carry in a first-aid kit.
Please bring your own first-aid kits to test their functionality and usefulness.
Please reach out if you have any questions.
