Description:

Prime Video: Wide Boyz

(Pete Whittaker giving it all)

If you follow climbing on the internet, you've likely heard of the Pete Whittaker and Tom Randall, AKA The Wide Boyz. These guys are a hilarious couple of british trad climbers that gained fame after climbing one of the hardest trad climbs in the United States, with their only training involving a cut up wooden table. Since then they have somehow become the world authority on crack climbing. This is the movie that catapulted them into the spotlight, and will give you context for their countless appearances in climbing YouTube and podcasts.

The plan is to watch the original Wide Boyz movie which is just under an hour long, in the clubroom at 6pm on Thursday. If you want to stay we might watch a followup film like Bridge Boyz or Wide Boyz II, which are both a bit shorter. Food and drink welcome.

Whether you're a climber or just interested in the sport, come out anyways!
