Description:

Usually, the traditional HMVDITTRAH workhike is an uphill slog to supply either the Waddington Hut or Brew Hut with firewood. In 2024, we break with tradition and get acquainted with the unqiue pleasures of downhill helicopter replacement, in support of the final stages of the Burton Hut renovation!

The basic jist is: A big ol' day-trip up to Garibaldi Lake with a gang of your VOC buddies and some blissfully light backpacks. Once we arrive at the boathouse, we will greet our victorious hut builders as they return from Sphinx Bay by canoe, and then set to work loading ourselves with as much gear n' garbage as is humanly possible.

(We will be carrying stuff down 1000m in 10km.) Sounds like fun to me.

We need drivers! Drivers, your gas money will be covered* as this is a club workhike.

*you must follow VOC reimbursement guidelines! more on this at the pre-trip on Thursday.
