Description:
i am looking for people to come along on a hike to metal dome, it will likely require snowshoes. the plan is to leave ubc at 5 am and start the hike at 7 am it will involve snowshoeing for most of the way.
the trail is 15 k and 1200 metres up. we have to drive up a forest road so ideally we get drivers with AWD but we can also start from the main road and hike up the forest road.
the trip will be cancelled if the avalanche conditions are less than ideal.
it should be about an intermediate level hike, some longer day hiking expereince is good but it shouldnt be too big of a deal
