Last week, I posted a trip for ice skating at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre. I had a grand time gliding around under the flourescent lights with some voc-ers and am planning to go back and exploit the (free) ice time some more. I also heard a rumor that there MIGHT (no promises) be some sort of outdoor skating event happening in term 2 depending on the weather - so if you'd like to freshen up your skills, this is for you.
Beginners are welcome! I am very happy to help anyone who feels they need assistance - there are also those block things to push and stabilize yourself with available at the rink.
You can rent skates for ~4 dollars at the Pro Shop, which is where we can meet at 9:40 pm.

Also, if there is another skating time you would like to go because you can't make it on Tuesdays, join the groupchat and pop in the time - it might work out. I also may run a similar series in term 2 as well, depending on interest.
