Description:
Come join a beginner friendly winter camping trip with some evening festivities!
The plan is to hike up to the Red Heather Hut area and find a location to winter camp. In addition to building quinzees we will set up a large dome tent that I have been building and have some evening festivities! . You should come on this trip if:
1 - You are new to winter camping and keen to learn or you are a seasoned pro!
2 - You are able to carry some extra winter camping gear and help set up a group tent for evening festivities
You can find out more about my tent at the following trip report!

Required Gear: see the VOC Winter Overnight Gear list https://www.ubc-voc.com/wiki/Gear_Lists#Winter_Overnight
Rentable from the VOC: snowshoes, packs, shovels
To arrange yourself: lots of warm clothes with an extra set of mitts, (DO NOT bring cotton layers), a warm sleeping bag, winter sleeping pad(s), and cooking supplies/stove (per group),
You can find some inspiration about how to build a snow cave here and here.
