Mt. Baker Overnight Ski Tour

 

About:

Located in Washington State, Mt. Baker is a prominent peak in the Cascade Mountains, visible from the Lower Mainland of British Columbia near the Canada–U.S. border. Basically its just a really cool mountian.This trip is for Backcountry Skier (Includes Tele) and Splitboarder who wants to explore the area and wants to camp overnight in Baker (close it)

Minimum Requirement: AST 1 or equivalent plus winter camping experience and Valid Passport or visa to enter US.

I'll make an equipment checklist later to make sure everyones prepared but you can also checkout VOC wiki for the Winter Overnight list. 

This trip will be limited by the amount of drivers, and also people will be grouped based on expereicne and ski ability. This will be exact 6am leave the city start with the goal of getting to the trail and campsite just after noon so be to find some skiing and also socialized. 

Routes: Herman Saddle Tour, Table Mountain and surrounding area 

Distance: Parking lot to Hermit Saddle (3.2km) 

Campsite: TBD

Parking Lot: Heather Meadows parking area

 

Notes:

This trip is weather and avalanche-condition-dependent. 

Also, I am not a certified guide, just an avid backcountry skier. You are responsible for your own decision making in the backcountry.
