Start: Sunday, Mar. 23rd
End: Sunday, Mar. 30th

Description:

Looking for some skiers/split boarders to join a 3-4 day trip to Phelix Hut between march 23-30 to explore the area and ride some pow laps. The hut offers access to excellent terrain, and conditions should be great with fresh snow in the forecast.

This trip is tentative based on conditions and interest. Ideally looking for a smaller group to keep things manageable. We will choose the dates based on what works best for everyone.

Plan:

Day 1: Skin up to the hut. (≈6hrs)

Day 2-3: Ride some powder, enjoy the area.

Day 4: Ride back to the car, go home.

Requirements:

  • AST-1
  • Avalanche safety gear (beacon, shovel, probe)
  • Touring gear (splitboard setup or touring skis, poles, layers, etc)
  • Hut gear (sleeping bag, pad, food, etc.)

note: this is not a guided trip, i am not a guide. everyone is responsible for their own decision making, risk assesment and backcountry safety. we're just a group of people heading out together, and everyone should be comfortable navigating and making their own choices.
