Description:
Phelix has a bunch of alpine rock routes, and potential for a bunch more. I want to get as many people climbing out there as possible!
The vision for this trip is to get a large group camping up at Phelix over a weekend, split off into small parties to go do repeats on the current lines, or potentially FAs on new lines, and then all return back to camp at night to chat shit and hang out. Then repeat the next day! I'll hopefully be up there for three day trip, hiking in Friday afternoon, but if you can just make it for the weekend, that's totally fine too.
The other mission of this trip is data collection for an upcoming mini-guidebook for the area that Nick is putting together. We want to get some documentation/people's perspectives on the routes up there.
This is not an instructional trip. We'll be doing technical rock climbing in the (sub)alpine, with all of the challenges that come along with that. The minimum requirement to come is being comfortable swinging leads on an apron route, and ideally you should have some alpine rock experience.
