Archive:Brew Hut Rebuild/April 11
Friday 8 April JP, Boris and Roland went to Langley and visited Westman Steel Industries. We learned a lot about sheet metal, how to buy it, cut it, ship it, install it. We visited the remand section and they donated to us, quite a lot of nice flashing, which is in various colours, but otherwise all good stuff.
Then we went to Firemaster and got technical details for a wood heater and a chimney. We are now ready to order both the chimney and the sheet metal.
Saturday there was no work done at the site other than another coat of paint on the main floor (with added sand to improve traction). Sunday we had one-arm Robin, Natasha, JP, Karine, Roland cutting and painting. JP built a large coffin for transporting the sheet metal flashing.
