Archive:Climbing Wall Competition 2009
Synopsis
This is a climbing competition for VOC members of any skill level. The goal is just to have fun. There are prizes for the two best male and female climbers and a door prize. That means you can win something even if you suck at climbing (like me). Winners will be based on a point accumulation basis and the door prize will be randomly drawn. There will be climbs of varied difficulty and completion of a climbs gets you a number of points that correlates to the difficulty of the climb. There will also be a milk crate stacking competition that can get you points. The price to enter is $5.00.
Date and Time
April 14th at 7:00pm in the VOC climbing wall aka back of the Norm theater in the SUB.

Participants
Signs up here if you want to participate. You don't need to sign up ahead of time, just show up, but this will give me an idea of who is coming.

Route Setters
I will need help route setting all day before the climbing wall competition on the 14th and the evening of the 13th. Please e-mail me if you can help out at: [email protected]
Route setting will be counted as a work hike and really appreciated by me. Maybe I will even bake cookies or something. To help me route set you need to at least be a decent climber so that you have an idea of how climbs go. If you have previous experience route setting that is a bonus.
More route setters are needed on the 14th please!
