Location

TBA - but a beginner friendly river.
Most likely (99%) Lower Seymour - with lots of practicing in eddies and pools and such to make it more useful, more entertaining, and longer :-) Depending on water level, Lower Seymour is a bit harder (more maneuvering, but generally not as powerful currents, and way less wood hazard) than the Mamquam.


Experience Level

Let us know if you need a boat/gear and your general paddling experience level experience:

  1. pool only
  2. been on river 1-3 times
  3. can take care of yourself
  4. can teach others and rescue


Attendees

  1. Piotr (has boat, can take care of myself) - giant green beast

  3. Caitlin (needs boat, can take care of myself) - erik magic bat
  4. Cora (needs boat, has 1 river trip) - jacob's boat

  6. Pascale (needs boat and unsure about qualifications)
  7. Erik (has boat/gear; can teach & rescue) - C1
  8. David Roscoe (has all gear, level 2.5, no car) - own red boat

Gear

All attending people need at least the following

  • Boat (must have floatbags!)
  • skirt
  • PFD (used to be called a lifejacket)
  • paddle
  • helmet
  • shoes

Optional but recommended

  • booties
  • wetsuit
  • gloves
  • paddling jacket/dry-top/dry-suit

Boats

(2) Anne and piotr <== do you guys really have 2 boats to lend? We said "2", we never said 'to lend' On the polo wikis we lited all boats, not only those for lending... this seems to be different

Other Gear

  1. Erik: 4 wetsuits X-small, small, med, large; 2 helmets, 2 paddling jackets.
  2. Caitlin: I have gloves and booties from Adrian

Cars

please list if you have a car to transport boats/people

  1. P+A 4Runner - can transport 7 units, a unit being a person or a boat, and 4 units being accounted for (our boats+us)
  2. Erik Pickup - 2-3 boats on top, plus one boat shorter than 8ft inside, plus total 4 people including me. Have carried as many as 9 boats + 5 people...
