- Predicted price of $1050 per flight to King Trench Base Camp (~1.9 hrs each way). Can Carry 2 climbers + gear per flight. Flies a Helio Courier out of Silver City, YT.
- Free Vehicle Parking is availble and Andy can keep an eye on it while we're away.
- Andy is generally fine regarding flying with fuel. He would prefer that it is packaged in sealed OEM containers for the flight and transferred to bottles at base camp. Fuel can be flown on the same flights as people.
- Mountain Flying Service
- Flies a Bush Hawk XP out of Haines, AK. Costs $1500USD per flight, must land on the US side of the border which is ~6mi & 800ft elevation (10km & 250m) from the normal King Trench base camp. Must drive to Skagway + Ferry to Haines. Can carry 2 climbers + gear per flight. May be able to carry 5 climbers + gear in 2 loads.
Permits - Jan
- Permits must be applied for 90 days in advance of proposed departure date
- each team member must submit a personal application and waiver at this time [1]
- In the event of injury/employment, team members can be swapped out at any time. The replacement team member must submit an Individual application/waiver that will be need to be reviewed/approved by Parks.
- Applications/permits will be approved in advance, but will be actually paid for and issued at the Kluane Park Office in Haines Junction immediately before the trip.
- Prior to departure a mandatory 1-hour safety briefing and park orientation video must be attended/viewed by the team at the Park Office

This consultation is not covered by the BC medical service plan (MSP) unless your physician faxes a referral letter to f-604.822.9058. We just need to contact Mike and his clinic and they will book us in for free (however, if we go through our doctors, Mike actually gets paid).
