4.7 km. Trail1. Comes from the southwest, running up from Roe Creek - Branch 200. Climbs gradually counterclockwise to get to Brew Lake. From Highway 99, drive up the Roe Creek main road, passing several intersections till you get to the branch 200 spur. In winter, park here, but in summer you could drive Branch 200 a short way. In winter, ski up the road, and keep straight past the first switchback to the left (this is new in 2010). Shortly after you come to another switchback back to the west. Take this, and shortly after, the trail leaves the road on your right (uphill) side. 2015: Look for markers on the new logging road after it turns back north. The trail first crosses the clearcut to the base of some cliffs. It then follows the base of these cliffs eastward till it runs into a fairly large stream, and then it goes northward up that stream. Eventually it climbs out of the stream bed, and ends up above trees, and then continues westward on the south side of Brew Lake. Finally you climb up a short slope, and emerge just west of the cabin. In general, you can't get too lost higher up, since the terrain funnels you upward. Winter trail is 990m to 1686m, an elevation gain of about 700m.
