Erm... what the $%#& is this about? --Matthew 11:43, 21 August 2007 (PDT)
- Mathew, it's a hobby. People do not like thrown rocks endangering their lives, so the only safe places to throw are beaches, gravel pits and sometimes the backcountry (if an open area free of people can be found). The sling is useless as a "survival" weapon since not many people are proficient enough with it to use it for hunting (but this does not stop wierd people from having it for this reason). I only carry it in hopes of finding a safe place to get some throwing practice in.
- A hobby eh? Is there more to Ruben than meets the eye? --Matthew 14:04, 21 August 2007 (PDT)
- There may be more to me than meets the eye (not likely) but anarchy is not one of my qualities. Actually, during the 1997 APEC protests at UBC I was studying for a plant identification test in the Koerner Library. --Rschulz 22:21, 21 August 2007 (PDT)
