Description:
Two years ago I did a trip to climb big runout slab walls in the Eldred valley and while all of us were humbled, it spawned a hilarious trip report and left me with a deep desire to go back and finish the route. The plan is to finally finish all 12 pitches of Schizophrenia (5.10b) without cooking like a lizard in the hot sun.
The route is a mix of sport/trad but is an incredibly runout sea of slab, so be warned! A few years of experience doing sport and trad multis is recommended. Also, you would need to source your own partner or convince an unpaired person on the list to partner up with you.
Plan is to leave Friday, take 2 ferries to Powell River, and drive up to the CAD camp.
Photos from last year's trip can be found in our trip report and on the google drive. Dates are flexible but shooting for July 1st long weekend, to be moved earlier or later depending on weather.
