VOC trips are organized by members like yourself, not professional guides. The trips go into wilderness areas where assistance is unavailable and unexpected events can occur. You could be seriously injured or die. You are responsible for your own actions. Please use caution.

Description:
Before we can build new walls we have to take the old ones off!
We will all go up Friday or Saturday in the morning or evening. We will likely have different cars leaving at different times. Some of us will come down Sunday while others will stay at the construction site longer. You are encouraged to join for as much as time and stoke allow!
Priority will go to drivers and those who have steel toe boots. If you don't have steel toe boots that fit you, try to borrow some from a friend, or consider buying some. You may also be able to borrow steel toe boots from the VOC but options might be limited.
Food will be provided.
How to sign up
- Sign up as committed for the main Phelix Construction trip.
- Fill out the availability spreadsheet at the top of that trip's signup page. Make sure to fill out both tabs in the spreadsheet. There is one tab for availability and one for contact information. Do this by the end of the day on Monday, July 7.
I will email everyone in the spreadsheet on Tuesday, July 8 to confirm that they're coming and to figure out when they want to leave. If you signed up in the spreadsheet but you haven't received an email from me by Tuesday evening, check your spam. If it's not there, please reach out! :)
We will have a pre-trip meeting on Wednesday, July 9 at 5:10 pm in the clubroom (located in the Nest next to Grand Noodle Emporium). There will be a Zoom option for those who can't come in person. I will send the Zoom link by email beforehand.
Workhike goals
- Take the old walls off Phelix Hut.
- Package the walls so that the helicopter can take them away easily.
- Set up the worksite. Make a kitchen. Organize stuff in the hut.
