Just a few comments:

  • There's already a layer of tar paper under the SE wall that was put on during construction, but it's not sealed or taped or anything. It's just stapled on. Is Tyvek no longer than plan?
  • I recall there being some leftover tar paper that was stored underneath the hut. It may have degraded though.
  • The proposed tasks seem like too much work for one weekend. Perhaps a long weekend, or two seperate weekends, would be better?
  • Is late june the right time of year to tear the hut open? I would think that late July or early August would offer a better chance at dry weather.
  • For carrying windows, tar paper etc the winter route is pretty rough, and the summer hiking trail isn't much different. Both will be very slow while carrying fragile windows and/or heavy tar paper. With a 4x4 you should be able to drive to 800m on the summer trail (I believe the gate on Brew Creek FSR is no longer in place), and 1050m on the roe creek route.
  • The ladders used for construction are still up at the hut. They were used to install the sheet metal in the first place, but they may not be in great condition. Some 1 1/4" wood screws will help take care of any loose steps.
