On October 22-23, we completed a long and tiresome hike up to the Brew Hut, the competitors were faced with the gruesome task of making the worlds best food with whatever ingredients were brought up. Our team, The Icy Marshmallows felt that a wholesome home cooked meal is the ideal fuel after a trek, and proceeded to bring up all the luxuries one could want. From china plates to ice-cream; blood, sweat, and tears ensured they arrived at the top unscathed. With the lakes dried up, we overcame the water shortage and started the games. The next 90 minutes were action packed with our team finding new methods to smoke meat. Once the time ended we served our appetizer of bacon wrapped asparagus, followed by marinated steaks with a side of potatoes, onions, and carrots. For desert we offered a high class sweet potato marshmallow snack with ice-cream and Kahlua. Incorporating the secret ingredient citrus was no problem. The rest of the night was spent enjoying everyone’s foods including home made pasta, tacos, chili, and many more. The pasta won. We got to enjoy the first snowfall and awesome views concluding the extreme iron chef competition. We have linked a visual representation of the trip to aid in visualizing the events that occurred.

Cheers!
